About Us

Shanti Dechen, the director of Aroma Apothecary Healing Arts Academy,
is a clinical health practitioner and a certified massage therapist since 1979.
She has a university background in healing and the sciences—over 15,000
hours of extensive training and certification in bodymind therapies.

Her training includes many modalities of healing including; massage therapy (including Deep Tissue) as well as Certified Clinical Aromatherapy, Chi Nei Tsang: Visceral Rejuvenation, Lymphatic Drainage, Acupressure, Craniosacral Therapy, Applied Kinesiology, Polarity, Nutrition, Reflexology, Stress Management and Meditation.

Shanti has worked and studied in a variety of healing modalities in the US, Canada, Germany, Thailand, and the Caribbean. This lifelong study has lead her to establish and direct Aroma Apothecary Healing Arts Academy since 2002.

Shanti is a member in good standing with the NAHA (National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy), ABMP (Associated Bodywork and Massage Professional), Senior Instructor of Chi Nei Tsang through the Universal Healing Tao and is a member of good standing with NCBTMB (National Certification for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork).
