Aromatherapy Certification Level 1 (50 hours)

Designed for health professionals, retailers, and laypersons interested in the safe and effective uses and applications of essential oils. This course provides a detailed and comprehensive study of aromatherapy, giving you confidence in the aromatherapy foundation and blending.

This is a stand-alone course and the first course for the professional or mastery programs.

• Lesson 7- Stress Physiology, Interactions of essential oils with the body, mind, and emotions.
• Lesson 8- Carrier Oils for 23 carriers
• Lesson 9- Aromatic Botany
• Lesson 10- Materia Aromatica for 20 essential oils
• Lesson 11: Therapeutic Blending; contraindications and precautions of essential oils; uses and applications of essential oils and hydrosols; Blending factors; Therapeutic index for cross-referencing multiple conditions to create ten personalized aromatherapy case studies.
• Lesson 12- Essential Oil Chemistry

To complete the certificate diploma, you must complete 12 written course lessons, create ten aromatherapy formulas (case studies) for therapeutic use, and pass a written test.

There is one year given to complete this course; most students finish it in three to six months. If a student needs more than one year to complete the course, they can re-enroll for a discounted extension fee. Upon the completion of this program, graduates can join NAHA as a Certified Level 1 Aromatherapist.
