It is fantastic that there has been such a rise in popularity of aromatherapy in recent years. Over time, it has become crucial for aromatherapy professionals and enthusiasts to have resources that are credible researched-based information.

Here are some reliable resources we recommend:

INTERNET RESOURCES

PubMed is a “free archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature which accesses the MEDLINE database of references and abstracts on life sciences and biomedical topics. The United States National Library of Medicine at the National Institutes of Health maintains the database as part of the Entrez system of information retrieval. Although this website is not exclusively dedicated to aromatherapy and essential oils, there is a vast amount of information about this subject.

Robert Tisserand is an amazing leader in aromatherapy world. He established The Aromatic Oil Company in 1974, and in 1977 wrote one of the first books in aromatherapy, The Art of Aromatherapy.

In 1988, he founded The Tisserand Institute in London, setting new standards for vocational aromatherapy education. That same year he launched The International Journal of Aromatherapy, which he published and edited until 2000.

In 2014, he authored the second edition of Essential Oil Safety, a book that set the industry standards for the safe use of essential oils. In 2015, he relaunched The Tisserand Institute, as a one of a kind online education portal for fact-based education on the potency and potential of essential oils for human well-being.

Science Direct is a peer-reviewed, scholarly literature database that consists of full-text health, scientific, and technical publications.

AromaWeb AromaWeb was founded in 1997, by Wendy Robbins, a professional aromatherapist. This website is dedicated to supplying extensive information on essential oils and holistic aromatherapy. The valuable information includes content on aromatherapy guides and articles, essential oil profiles, carrier oil profiles, hydrosol profiles, and aromatherapy books.

Personal Care Truth is an independent, global team of experts from different facets of the cosmetics industry. Their content is about education, facts, questions, research, sharing knowledge, and empowering consumers to make the choice that’s right for their families. They believe education is the foundation in understanding cosmetic safety and are committed to delivering information based on current scientific evidence while encouraging open discussion and dialogue.

Eden Botanicals was founded in 1985, and the company began by importing genuine amber resin. Since that time, they have grown steadily, and they currently carry over 260 essential oils, absolutes, CO2 extracts, as well as carrier oils and hydrosols. They offer valuable research on specific essential oils, carrier oils, and hydrosols.
