Aromatherapy Facial Serum

Updated: Apr 21

An Aromatherapy Facial Serum is healing, nourishing, toning, and regenerating to the skin surface and individual skin cells. The essential oils have properties proven to improve skin tone and elasticity for mature or dry skin by stimulating the production of new cells. They are useful as an effective treatment to deter and slow wrinkles. We would like to share one of our favorite facial serum blends with you!

In a 2 oz. amber glass pump bottle, mix together:

  • 1/2 TBSP. Argan (Argania spinosa)

  • 1/2 TBSP. Calendula (Calendula officinalis)

  • 1/4 TBSP. Jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis)

  • 1/4 TBSP. Meadowfoam (Limnanthes alba)

  • 1/2 TBSP Rosehip (Rosa canina) Then add the following essential oils:

  • 6 drops Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)

  • 5 drops Neroli (Citrus aurantium)

  • 5 drops Vetiver (Vetiveria zizanioides)

  • 3 drops Petitgrain (Citrus aurantium)

Shake well and then apply 2-4 drops after cleansing the face and using an aromatherapy facial spritzer.

*Precaution: During pregnancy, reduce essential oils to ½ % to 1% or less. When using essential oils, always review the precautions for each individual.

This is also a wonderful serum to use as an oil face wash.

Do not be afraid of applying oil to your face. Oil alone will not contribute to blemishes, which are generally caused by several different factors, including hormones, bacteria, dead skin cells, and the buildup of these factors. Your skin naturally produces oil because it requires it.

Not only does your natural oil help lubricate the skin, but it also heals, protects, and moisturizes it so that it functions naturally. Properly functioning skin is beautiful, radiant, and glowing.

Oil Face Wash Application:

Ensure you have your aromatherapy facial oil blend, a soft washcloth, and hot water.

  • Squirt ½-1 TBSP. of the aromatherapy facial oil blend into the palm of your hand.

  • Gently cover your face with the oil blend.

  • Massage this blend into your face and neck for 3-5 minutes. This will remove sunscreen, makeup, dirt, and other impurities, so there is no need to use makeup remover or wash your face with soap before the massage.

  • Take your time. This is a great opportunity to deepen your breathing, relax, and release some of your stress.

  • Next, soak your washcloth in clean, hot water. The water must be warm enough to soften your pores further and remove the oil.

  • Hold the washcloth to cover your face. Keep it on your face until it starts to cool down. You will feel your pores soften and release impurities. Wipe the oil gently away and rinse the washcloth well in hot, running water.

  • Wipe gently, rinse well, and then repeat two or three more times. It is important not to scrub your face; instead, wipe gently, letting the oil and hot water do the work for you.

Your skin will be beautiful and radiant!
