Citrus Refreshing Room Spritzer

Updated: Jan 18, 2022

The citrus essential oils offer such a beautiful cleansing effect. They are excellent anti-bacterial and also provide emotional uplifting.

This is one of my favorite room and bathroom spritzers to enhance and cleanse the environment.

Citrus Refreshing Room Spritzer

In a 2oz. glass bottle, with a spray top, then add the following ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis) or Solubol.

Add the essential oils and shake well:

  • 6 drops orange (Citrus sinensis)

  • 5 drops bergamot (Citrus bergamia)

  • 4 drops lemon (Citrus limon)

  • 3 drops lime (Citrus aurantifolia)

  • 3 drops spearmint (Mentha spicata)

First, put the jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis) or Solubol into the bottom of the bottle, add the essential oils, and shake well. Then, add 1oz. Spearmint (Mentha spicata) hydrosol and the remainder purified water. Shake well.

Spray in the corners of a room or on linens. Caution: Keep away from the face.

Citrus Happy Nasal Inhaler Blend

You can also make a lovely nasal inhaler blend with this same combination of essential oils.

Saturate the felt wick of the nasal inhaler with the following blend:

  • 5 drops orange (Citrus sinensis)

  • 4 drops bergamot (Citrus bergamia)

  • 4 drops spearmint (Mentha spicata)

  • 4 drops lime (Citrus aurantifolia)

  • 3 drops lemon (Citrus limon)

Just a reminder that cold-pressed/expressed citrus essential oils like bergamot (Citrus bergamia), grapefruit (Citrus x paradisi), and lemon (Citrus limon) are photosensitive. If they are steam distilled, then they are not photosensitive.
